"Humans should be humble, not brave"
Ancient heroes, including Hercules, were revered for their courage in the pre-Christian era. But the advent of Christianity brings with it a new ethic: "Blessed are the meek". In this new era, victory comes through humility and sacrifice, not through fight and courage.
"Monster killers" are no longer needed.
The only weapon against injustice is to leave everything into the hands of the Lord, the one who can judge and punish the wicked.
Hercules and ancient heroes become, in this new perspective, violent monsters endowed with inhuman capabilities.

"Gli umani dovrebbero essere umili, non coraggiosi"
Gli eroi antichi, tra cui Hercules, erano venerati per il loro coraggio, nell'era pre-cristiana. Ma l'avvento del cristianesimo porta con sé una nuova etica: "Beati i mansueti". In questa nuova era la vittoria avviene attraverso l'umiltà e il sacrificio, non attraverso la lotta e il coraggio.
